Heather Receptionist

Heather

Receptionist

I started as a part-time receptionist with Dickin in 2018, shortly after they moved to Endicott. I grew up on an eighty-four-acre duck farm on Long Island, where my passion for helping animals comes from. Any animal that was sick or injured on the farm, I nursed back to health and released. My parents also bred and showed English Springer Spaniels, and although I was very young, I was also involved with that as well. I worked as a receptionist in an animal hospital on Long Island for many years, where I started to actively help foster and care for cats and dogs. I moved to Binghamton in 1990, and after years of fostering and trapping cats for other rescues, I started my own cat rescue in 2020 – Lava’s Lost and Forgotten Felines. Lava’s primary focus is to reduce the population of street cats through spay and neuter programs. I am also a Paralegal for Broome County and a Real Estate agent with Keller Williams. My husband Paul and I have four children and six grandchildren. We have 3 rescued Pitbull’s and six cats of our own.
